In a quiet corner of Los Angeles, between sawdust and sketchbooks, FigureGrain was born.

We’re Chloe and David — designers, makers, and partners in both life and craft. We met in architecture school, where we learned that good design isn’t just about how something looks — it’s about how it lives. How it functions. How it feels in your hands at 7:30 in the morning when you’re reaching for your keys. How it welcomes you home after a long day.
FigureGrain began with a simple belief:

Each FigureGrain piece is handcrafted in Los Angeles using solid hardwoods like walnut, white oak, Mahogany, and other carefully selected species. We choose wood not just for strength — but for character. The grain tells a story. The knots remind us that natural beauty.
